Within the 370 pages of THE CHAMPIONSHIP you will find my story as a collegiate-athlete at the University of South Carolina from 1965-1969 culminating in the Gamecock's 1969 ACC Football Championship. Also in THE CHAMPIONSHIP are tales of fraternity life at South Carolina and my summer job as a game warden in Southeastern Alaska! I hope you enjoy my journey as much as I did taking it! NORTH TO ALASKA

Before there was “The Hit” by  Gamecock, Jadeveon Clowney, there was the wipeout with another Gamecock defensive end, Jim Pope.  Read about it in THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

First road trip outside of the South took me to Southeastern Alaska where I spent my summers as a game warden. Adventures and travel throughout America are also in the pages of THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

FRATERNITY LIFE

Dating and partying was big in the sixties and the "Frat Cats" had the best looking girls and the wildest parties. And you thought that the movie "Animal House" was fiction?!
